Welcome to OracleGeek

The OracleGeek website will be the place where I (Amit Poddar), whose picture appears at the immediate left) will document things about the Oracle relational database management system (RDBMS) as I learn them. This is necessary since I keep forgetting what I learn, and I needed a place to keep them all together, so I can refer back to here whenever I need.

The web site is divided in may sections which interests me. There are links in the left panel which takes you to different sections of this site. Also there is a search link which you can use to search on this web site.

Hotsos 2009

 I presented a paper on One pass distinct sampling at hotsos 2009. This was regarding new radical algorithms implemented by Oracle for gather NDV and global NDVs. You can download the whitepaper here and the presentation here .
